I predicted this, so give me a dollar



Target is apparently the only store carrying these badass new packaging designs for Oreo cookies and Ritz crackers.

I love this. It's retro and modern at the same time. I remember a few years back predicting that design would simplify and old would be new again. Coke did this with their can design recenty. Too bad they don't have the old shape and pull-tabs, too. I hope this a trend that catches on with cereal boxes and Fanta© and car ads and everything else.

I'm still waiting on my prediction that brands that haven't changed much over the years will just start re-airing old television commercials instead of making new ones. I've seen a few of these — Alka-Seltzer comes to mind — but it's not happening on the level I had forseen.
